Emacs identica-mode with multiple timelines and direct messages

Emacs identica-mode, a way to read and post to Identi.ca microblogging site and any Laconi.ca installation from Emacs, now has support for several (friends, replies, public and user) timelines. Also added support to send direct messages.
Some of the changes are:

All API calls are now through HTTPS

Fixed error on xml parse in identica-mode

Thanks to a contribution from Christian Cheng to denting-mode, another fork of twittering-mode for laconica installations by Carlos A. Perilla, the long standing bug of xml parsing has been fixed. Also, fixed support for tags and groups not recognizing correctly when a dash was in the name.

Identica-mode fixes

Thanks to Jason McBrayer the identica-mode for Emacs now works without problems. The changes on this version are:

Fixed the “cannot parse” error on malformed XML tags
Fixed incorrect urls on api calls
Fixed user pictures not showing up
